The Dayton Hamvention is regarded as the largest hamfest in North America. Simply put, these are events organized by amateur radio enthusiasts for social gathering and comparison and sales of radio equipment. The one sponsored by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association each May offers forums, exhibit space and a flea market to over 20,000 visitors annually.
